Return & Replacement Policy
At Make My Freshener, every item is custom made to order. Because of this, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for reasons unrelated to product quality. However, we are committed to customer satisfaction. If there is an issue with your order, we'll work with you to make it right.
Qualifying Reasons for a Replacement
- Dissatisfaction with print quality
- Dissatisfaction with fragrance
- Receipt of an incorrect order
- Items arrived damaged or defective
- Order was shipped but lost in transit
How to Request a Replacement
- Contact support@makemyfreshener.com within 7 days of delivery.
- Include your order number.
- Provide clear photos of the affected item(s) showing the issue.
- We will review your request within 1-3 business days and contact you via email with our decision and next steps.
- If approved for a remake, we will send you an email with a link to update your artwork. We will not reprint the original design without correction.
- Depending on the situation and order size, we may follow up and request:
- Additional photo proof (e.g., showing product cut or destroyed), or
- Return of the original items. Return shipping will be covered by us if required.
Print Quality Issues
Our fragrance products use highly absorbent cardstock paper designed to hold scent effectively. This specialized paper doesn't support the same high-resolution printing capabilities found in glossy magazines. However, we pride ourselves on achieving the best possible print quality for this specialized paper type.
If you believe your fresheners have print quality issues (such as low image resolution, low contrast, thin fonts, or layout issues), please submit a photo so we can investigate the matter further. If we determine your order qualifies for a remake, we will send you an email with a link to upload your updated design. The original design will not be reprinted without corrections.
- Limit one courtesy remake per customer account lifetime.
Fragrance Issues
If you are not completely satisfied with the fragrance you selected:
- Contact support@makemyfreshener.com within 7 days of receiving your order.
- Clearly describe what you dislike about the fragrance (too strong, too weak, scent profile different than expected).
- We may offer one of the following solutions:
- A replacement with a different fragrance of your choice.
- A partial refund (percentage based on order size).
- A discount code for future purchases.
- Suggestions for how to adjust the intensity of your current fresheners.
Please note that fragrance perception is subjective, and we cannot guarantee that a replacement fragrance will better match your preferences. We recommend ordering a sample pack if you're unsure about fragrance choices.
Incorrect Order
If Make My Freshener made a production error (wrong scent, wrong item, wrong design), we will remake the order at no charge. If the original order had additional rush production, we will work on getting the order to you as fast as possible. For the error, we will offer a discount on future orders depending on size of order.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order is damaged due to shipping or packaging arrived with visible moisture, we will offer options depending on the situation.
Lost Order
If your order is lost, we will offer options depending on the situation.
Important Notes
- All sales are final except for orders with qualifying issues listed above.
- Limit one courtesy remake per customer account lifetime. This applies to all issues, regardless of reason.
- Remake orders will use original production time and shipping speed. Customers are responsible for expedited production and shipping fees if requested.
- Colors may appear slightly different on physical products compared to digital screens, which is not considered a print quality issue unless significantly different.
- Replacements are limited to the exact items in your original order - we cannot substitute different products.
- If your order contained multiple designs or fragrances, we will only replace those with confirmed issues.
- Repeated replacement requests may require additional verification or review.
- We reserve the right to deny replacement requests that do not meet our policy guidelines or appear fraudulent.
Decision Timeline
All replacement requests are reviewed within 1-3 business days. You will be contacted via email with the decision and next steps.
Replacement Timeline Example:
- Day 1: Customer submits replacement request with required photos and order number to support@makemyfreshener.com
- Days 1-3: Make My Freshener reviews the request and makes a decision
- Day 3-4: Customer receives decision email with next steps
- Days 4-7: If approved, customer submits updated design (if applicable)
- Days 8-14: Replacement is produced (standard production timeline)
- Days 15-21: Replacement is shipped and delivered (depending on selected shipping method)
Please note that this timeline may vary depending on order complexity, current production volume, and shipping destination.
Order Edits & Cancelation Policy
- Order edits must be submitted via email before the order moves into printing. There is no guarantee order edits will be made once the order has been submitted.
- Cancellations must also be requested by email to support@makemyfreshener.com. Cancellations are not guaranteed depending on the production status.
